Conference Central with May 16th dinner as guests of the Squamish Lil’wat Community Centre.

Thank You! Attendance is Soaring

We Are Extremely Proud of the Program. Planning is down to the details (how many mics do we need…) for the BCAC’s May 15-17th, 2018 Triple A Conference “Facilitating Connections: Aviation, Airports, Aerospace” at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Hotel and Resort. The Organizing Committee, led by Marcello Garofalo and fellow BCAC Board Member David Nowzek, have pulled together a great current issues and future thinking program for aviation, airports and aerospace in Canada. The BCAC Conference Final Agenda is here.

Celebrating BCAC’s 80th anniversary, this event is not just for airports. The Conference also covers topics critical for the aviation and aerospace industry in British Columbia.

  1. Conference is $359 including the Celebrating Scholarship Reception on May 15th at 6pm and the 80th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre on the 16th. Note that capacity is limited for these two events so book your seat early to avoid disappointment. The $359 conference rate still applies after the reception and/or dinner are sold out. Act now.
  2. For non-members, the rate is $459 which includes a one year individual membership to the BCAC. $859 if you want the full promotional benefits of being a Corporate Member for one year. Many are taking advanatage of this. Another thank you.
  3. Extra tickets for the Anniversary Celebration Dinner are $85. Join us at the spectacular Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre.
  4. Extra tickets to the Celebrating Scholarship Reception are $25. Reception includes substantial appetizers, a no host bar and is located in Portabello’s restaurant in the hotel. There will be a small silent auction and a high end raffle throughout the Conference with all proceeds supporting the BCAC Scholarship Endowment. Be part of the solution for our industry’s Human Resources shortage.
  5. Book rooms ASAP at the Chateau. The great $195 a night rate is space available. Book Hotel Here Guests may also call the Chateau’s In House Reservations Department at 1-800-606-8244 to make their reservations. Callers should identify themselves as being part of the BC Aviation Council AGM or group code 0518BCAV_001 in order to receive the group rates.
  6. Pacific Coastal and Central Mountain Air have discounted fares by 50% throughout their network to/from Vancouver. Email DFrank@BCAviationCouncil.org to get your code.
  7. Bus transportation Vancouver to/from Whistler is available from the Sheraton Richmond – first 54 come, first served – for $40 return, including parking at the hotel! That’s almost the same as the daily parking rate at the Chateau so consider leaving the driving to us. Book the bus when registering for the conference. Departs hotel at 1:30pm on May 15th and arrives back at hotel by 7:30pm May 17th. Transportation sponsored by our Friends at ACE Charters.
  8. Sponsorship Levels for the conference and activities are available. Great exposure this year. Take advantage of BCAC’s heavy investment in expanding its communication channels.
  9. Questions or Suggestions? Email Dave Frank of the BCAC.
