Aircraft Refueler / Truck Driver
(Seasonal Position)

Executive Flight Centre (EFC) has been setting standards in aviation fuel and service for over forty years. Our Kamloops and Fort St. John locations are seeking experienced Aircraft Refuelers / Truck Drivers to support our diverse operations for seasonal positions both on and off airport property. The successful applicants will have a minimum of three years off highway truck driving experience; Class 3 with air minimum, Class 1 with Air preferred. The Aircraft Refuelers / Truck Drivers will operate trucks with a capacity of at least 33,100 Kgs. GVW up to 63,500 Kgs, to transport and deliver goods and will be required to hot fuel helicopters in remote sites for extended periods. Drivers are required to be well versed in log book procedures and laws.

Responsibilities:
• Aircraft Fueling, Movement, Placement, and Storage.
• Fuel Movement and Quality Control.
• Operate various types of ground service equipment.
• Responsible to clean GSE equipment, buildings and Fuel Trucks.
• Strict adherence to safety rules on the ground, ramp and while using equipment.
• Required to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Physical requirements include considerable use of your arms and legs, climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Must work shift work, weekends and stat holidays as required.
• Fuel handling and serving Aviation fuels as per B836 latest standards.
• Perform trip inspections pre and post on equipment operated and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
• Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, customs and immigration and weights and dimensions.
• Manoeuvre trucks into and on British Columbia logging roads. Helicopter loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
• Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, Hi-vhf radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable Provencal and federal regulations.
• Record and maintain required documentation including driver logbook, bills of lading, etc. by manual or electronic means.
• Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form.
• Assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
• Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.
• Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.
• Deliver to product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner.
• Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.
• Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems.
• Maintain trucks overall service and perform required inspections.
• Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
• Ensure exceptional, courteous and respectful customer service through compliance and participation in the Company’s Step Up to Customer Service Program.
• Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
• Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Completion of High School Diploma
• Certification from recognized Truck Driving School.
• A minimum of three years of off highway driving experience is required.
• Minimum Class 3 with Air Brake Endorsement is required. Class 1 is preferred
• Clean Driver’s Abstract is required.
• Defensive Driving Course is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Understanding of mathematics and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
• Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
• Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.
