The BC Aviation Council hosts the annual Silver Wings Scholarship and Industry Awards Celebration which recognizes outstanding achievements in the aviation and aerospace industry in British Columbia. The BCAC also supports the Annual Conference, as well as ongoing educational events, furthering growth and opportunities for aviation and aerospace across the province. Everyone is welcome!

BCAC also promotes industry events that are of interest to our members, especially those organized by our affiliates. Contact us at info@bcaviationcouncil.org to have your industry event posted.

PLANE PULL FOR SIGHT IS BACK… ARE YOU READY VANCOUVER?

Are you ready for the ultimate tug-of-war challenge? Are you ready to take on a feat of mental and physical strength, stamina and teamwork? Do you think you have what it takes to pull a massive 60-tonne FedEx 757 cargo plane 20 feet across the tarmac faster than everyone else? Well, here’s your chance to prove it!

Get your team together, bring your A-Game and join us on the tarmac for the 20/20 Plane Pull for Sight. Buckle up for an awesome day of high-energy team-building fun for the whole family as you compete for the ultimate bragging rights.

Here’s what you need to know:

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, June 14th, 2020
  • Location: FedEx Ramp, Vancouver International Airport (3151 Aylmer Rd. Richmond, BC)
  • Time: 10:30am to 3:00pm

Registration

  • Each team can have up to 20 team members.
  • A “team captain” will register him/herself and the team, and also set up the team’s homepage. When that’s done, additional participants can join the team.
  • An individual page will be created for each participant with a link that can be sent out to family and friends to collect donations.
  • There’s a $25 registration fee for the team captain and each team member. The registration fee will be added to your personal and team fundraising total.
  • You can’t register as an individual participant without a team. You must create a new team, or register as a member of an existing team.

Fundraising & Incentives

  • Each team must raise a minimum of $2,500 before the day of the event.
  • Each team member is responsible for raising at least $125.
  • We’ll have some great team fundraising incentives – the more you raise, the more you get! (Stay tuned for updates about team incentive levels).
