The aviation and aerospace industry is a significant contributor to global warming, generating as much as 4.9% of human-caused climate change. Indeed, there are a growing number of people advocating for more sustainable options including less air travel, and this could have a profound socioeconomic impact on the province of BC and beyond.

In an effort to address this critical issue, the BCAC’s Conference Committee decided to focus Conference 2020 on the challenges generated by climate change. There are a number of ways that the aviation and aerospace industry can reduce our environmental impact and Conference 2020 helps to identify, and facilitate the important conversations around, these strategies. Conference 2020 will also introduce our upcoming five-year strategic plan which focuses not only on the environment, but also on our industry’s looming human resources crisis. Conference 2020 will begin with NAV CANADA’s “Area Operations Consultation Meetings (AOCM)”. Please click on the Agenda link below for more details.

Directly following Conference 2020, the Inn at Laurel Point will host the “14th Annual Facility, Operations and Airport Managers Conference (FOAM Conference)“, saving many attendees duplicate travel costs; this is especially important for those facing unexpected COVID-19-related expenses and shortfalls in their budgets. Please Note: If you are attending both Conference 2020 and the FOAM Conference, please call the Inn at Laurel Point at 1.800.663.7667 to book your room reservation by phone.

We look forward to seeing you there!
