The BC Aviation Council hosts the annual Silver Wings Scholarship and Industry Awards Celebration which recognizes outstanding achievements in the aviation and aerospace industry in British Columbia. The BCAC also supports the Annual Conference, as well as ongoing educational events, furthering growth and opportunities for aviation and aerospace across the province. Everyone is welcome!

CAHS National Convention Call for Presentations

We are pleased to announce the call for presentations for the 2020 CAHS Convention in Richmond (Vancouver), British Columbia. The convention will take place 27 – 30 May. Tours and other activities are still being developed, but our first ever convention in BC will be an experience to remember. We will include the usual meet and greet, speakers, a banquet, and the opportunity to meet others who share your passion for aviation, but we will also offer a unique optional flight experience and an optional tour after the convention. Persons who wish to present at the convention should review the Call for Presentations at this link, and submit the included form no later than 31 January 2020. Those selected will be advised by the end of February. We look forward to hearing from you.

DRAFT Agenda:

15h – 17h Board meeting at the Sandman Airport Atrium (8 people)
18h30 – 21h30 Meet and Greet at the Sandman Atrium (snacks with a bar). (40 people);  Registration of most delegates will occur here.
08h – 09h Shuttle bus to the Richmond Curling Club and registration continues.
09h – 16h Sessions at the curling club, book fair, soup & salad lunch (60 people).
16h Shuttle bus to Flight City, Harbour Air and hotel.
16h – 1630h Visit Flight City for those wishing to browse and buy.
16h – 19h Optional Harbour Air scenic tour of downtown Vancouver, harbour & mountains. Cost paid by individuals, depart from the South Terminal (9 people).
Evening Dinner on your own.
08h – 09h Shuttle bus to the convention site, maybe some late registrations.
09h – 1430h Sessions at curling club, book fair, soup & salad lunch (60 people).
15h – 1630h AGM  at curling club (45 people).
1630h Shuttle bus back to hotel.
18h – 19h Shuttle bus from hotel to curling club, pre-banquet cocktails.
19h – 21h30 Banquet (80 people).
2130h Shuttle bus back to hotel.
08h30 – 09h Chartered bus to YVR.
09h – 12h Morning tours (50 people, two groups – or one group if less people). Possible tours include Harbour Air, Million Air, Air Canada hangar, Helijet??
11h – 13h Groups take lunch separately at the Flying Beaver, at suitable times  (50 people, two groups).
13h – 16h Afternoon tours (50 people, two groups).
16h – onwards Transfer to the airport, hotel, etc., as required.
  Possible optional day tour to Paine Field/Boeing Field or Victoria Airport  (10 people)(private cars).
If to US, would need to depart Saturday PM and overnight in Everett or Seattle.
