The BC Aviation Council hosts the annual Fall Silver Wings Awards, recognizing accomplishments in our industry, supports the Spring Airports and Air Operators Conference and several educational dinners, furthering growth and opportunities for aviation and aerospace across the province. Events are open to all.

Silver Wings Awards

At its annual Silver Wings Awards event, the BC Aviation Council honours industry colleagues and awards scholarships to students studying aviation. We invite you to attend this gala celebration attending by industry leaders and influencers. The evening includes an awards ceremony, fine food, entertainment, live and silent auction, and networking opportunities.

Auction items include air travel on Air Canada, HeliJet, Westjet, and Chris Hatfield gift package, golf package, and Empress Hotel stay to name a few. Come prepared to outbid your friends and family before the auctioneers gavel falls.

Lifetime Achievement in Aviation

Flight Discount Information:

BCAC Member Air Carriers are offering workshop and Silver Wings Awards attendees discounted air fares again this year. You must register for either the Air Operators Workshop or the Silver Wings Awards first to take advantage of these rates. Register for either event first and then call BCAC Administrator at 604-882-1261 to get flight booking code.

Pacific Coastal Airlines offers round trip fare of $99.00 (plus tax) from any of the following communities to Vancouver: Victoria, Port Hardy, Campbell River, Comox, Williams Lake, Powell River, Cranbrook, Bella Coola, Trail, Kelowna via Cranbrook, and Prince George via Victoria. Overnight at own expense southbound. Travel period is for October 18th to 24th. Fare is non-refundable, but change and cancellation fees are waived. Seats are subject to availability at time of reservation. Attendee is allowed one companion at this rate.

Central Mountain Air offers discount at 50% of fare available, OW or Return. Travel applicable on CMA routes only to/from YVR. Travel between 16 Oct – 25 Oct, 2015. Standard rules apply as per branded fare. Attendees allowed companions at this rate. Any over-night stay do to routing is at the expense of the traveller.

Hawkair offers discount  of 20% of applicable fare, OW or Return, on routes from Terrace-Kitimat, Prince Rupert and Dawson Creek to/from YVR. Travel between dates of 16 Oct – 25 Oct, 2015. Some restrictions apply. Attendees allowed companions at this rate. Any over-night stay do to routing is at the expense of the traveller.
