Nomination for the Robert Hope Pursuit of Excellence Award

The Robert Hope Pursuit of Excellence award is presented annually in recognition of outstanding contribution to the Aviation and Aerospace Industry in the field of Aircraft Maintenance. For dedication as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with an underlying adherence to safety, the advancement of aviation and aerospace, the dignity of the profession and the constant striving in pursuit of excellence. Given on behalf of all Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and consistent with the objectives of the Pacific AME Association in memory of Robert Hope AME.


Basic Criteria
The nominee must:

  • Have spent the majority of their life employed in the aviation and aerospace industry.
  • Have demonstrated outstanding contribution and leadership in the promotion of the Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Always acts with integrity.
  • Provides mentorship to their peers.

  1. Any BCAC, PAMEA, or AMEC/TEAC Member in good standing may submit a nomination.
  2. The nominee need not be a member of BCAC, PAMEA, or AMEC / TEAC.
  3. The BCAC Awards Committee will select the winner from among those nominated, or postpone the award if no suitable nominations are received.
  4. The winner will be presented with the Commemorative Plaque at the BCAC Silver Wings Industry and Scholarship Awards Celebration.
  5. A smaller identification plaque of the successful nominee will be attached to the ongoing plaque on the second floor of the YVR South Terminal building.
  6. Nominator must attach a narrative explanation and details of the achievements and qualifications of the nominee for the award.
