The Annual Airport’s Workshop kicked off today in Nanaimo, B.C. Over 100 delegates from across B.C. have made their way into beautiful Nanaimo for the three day conference.
Today, April 25, was day one and started with a golf tournament hosted by the Nanaimo Airport at the Cottonwood Golf Course. Over 30 delegates came out to show their skills on the course and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine while hearing planes take off from Nanaimo Airport.
A Look to the Past Ice Breaker event was hosted tonight at the Coast Bastion Hotel with live music, food and wonderful display from the Vancouver Island Military Museum on Raymond Collishaw, a distinguished Canadian fighter pilot, squadron leader, and commanding officer from Nanaimo who served in the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) and later the Royal Air Force.
The conference will continue tomorrow at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre and is promising to be an exiting and informative day, including Keynote speaker Craig Richmond, CEO of the Vancouver Airport Authority.
