Based on a report by InterVistas, the BC Government is looking at one Vancouver region and one northern region to create Foreign Trade Zones.
“FTZs encourage overseas firms that are already exporting goods into the NAFTA economy to undertake some of the value added activity in North America,” the report said. Such activities are: assembly, customization and repair.
