A busy day starting with meeting the Students at BCIT’s Aviation and Aerospace Campus where the delegation heard informative feedback from the front lines. On to the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Luncheon downtown where the leaders of the initiative spoke openly about the challenges being faced by the industry and its importance to Canada and British Columbia.

Later that evening a reception what held in the spectacular BCIT hanger. Great networking and team building. Firmed up my thinking as follows.

AIAC and BCAC work closely together to promote the needs of BC’s Aviation and Aerospace industries. There is such an overlap and symbiotic relations between the “two” industries, it is like splitting hairs determining who is in what industry. Far better to present Aviation and Aerospace as one industry, one complete economic and social impact and one policy initiative. The industry is so critical to our province’s high value added jobs future that we must continue to work closely together.

And we are and we will.

Dave Frank, Executive Director, BCAC
