The Northwest Expedition will be a three-week journey, flying 12,000 kilometres across British Columbia, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Alaska. Pilots Dave McElroy, Steve Drinkwater, Ian Porter and Lise Ash will take off June 15, 2019 and fly small aircraft around the perimeter of the northwest creating a unique aerial experience, while raising money.
Hope Air explains the journey will include flying over Nahanni National Park, which is not accessible by any public roads, taking a closer look at ice hills called Pingos in the Northwest Territories, and getting an aerial view of mountains and rainforests in the north.
Give Hope Wings is currently inviting volunteer flight crew members to join these pilots on their journey. Their donation to Hope Air will allow them to join this adventure.
