BC Aviation Council Award and Scholarship Winners Announced!

Congratulations to all our award and scholarship winners! We look forward to celebrating with you at the Silver Wings Awards Gala on October 26 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. 

 At the annual Silver Wings Awards on October 26, the British Columbia Aviation Council (BCAC) will honor and highlight the many achievements of its members, industry leaders and the youth who benefit from over $23,000 awarded annually in scholarships.

BCAC’s premier event, the Silver Wings Awards, will take place on Wednesday, October 26 at Vancouver Convention Centre West, 1055 Canada Place, beginning at 6 p.m.

Award Winners: 

  • Entrepreneur of the Year in Aviation:  Ken Norie, President and CEO of the VIH Aviation Group of Companies
  • BCAC Environmental Award in Aviation: Price Rupert Airport
  • Back and Bevington Air Safety Award: Darlene George, Nav Canada Manager – Victoria Tower
  • Robert S. Day Award: Villi Douglas, Port Hardy Airport
  • William Templeton Award: Port McNeill Airport
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Terry Jones, Operations Manager, Advantage Helicopters
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Danny Sitnam, President, Helijet International Inc.

Scholarship Winners:
