The BC Aviation Council Mentorship Program brings together a cohort of members from across British Columbia’s aviation and aerospace community to connect, learn and grow together, while building meaningful one-to-one mentorship relationships.

Whether you’re looking to learn from someone with industry experience or share what you’ve learned throughout your own career, the program provides an opportunity to connect, share, grow, and make an impact.

Become a Mentee

Connect with an experienced member of BC’s aviation and aerospace community who can offer perspective, encouragement and insight as you navigate your own path.

As a mentee, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Build a meaningful relationship with an industry professional
Learn from real-world experience, perspectives, and insights
Expand your industry knowledge and professional network
Clarify your goals and explore possibilities
Build confidence and develop professional skills
Gain perspective to help inform career decisions
Learn alongside a cohort of mentors and mentees from across British Columbia

Become a Mentor

Share your experience with someone building or navigating their path in aviation while continuing to learn and grow as a leader yourself.

As a mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Share your knowledge, experience, and perspective
Support another person’s professional growth and development
Build meaningful relationships across BC’s aviation and aerospace community
Strengthen your coaching, communication, and leadership skills
Gain fresh perspectives through reciprocal learning
Contribute to the future of BC’s aviation and aerospace industry
Connect with a cohort of mentors and mentees from across the province

Who Can Apply?

Mentees

Mentee applicants should:

Reside in British Columbia
Be at least 18 years of age
Have an interest in pursuing or developing a career in aviation or aerospace
Be willing to actively participate in the six-month program
Be prepared to co-create a meaningful mentorship experience with their mentor
Complete the application process and provide the required supporting information
BCAC Membership is encouraged

Mentors

Mentor applicants should:

Reside in British Columbia
Be established in a career within aviation or aerospace
Be willing to actively participate in the six-month program
Be prepared to share their experience, perspective and industry knowledge
Be willing to co-create a meaningful mentorship experience with their mentee
Complete the application process and provide the required supporting information
BCAC Membership is encouraged

Previous mentoring experience is not required to participate in the program.

Program Commitment

The 2027 Mentorship Program runs from January through June 2027.

Participants are expected to take an active role in co-creating a successful mentorship experience. Mentor and mentee pairs will connect regularly throughout the program to complete 12 shared hours, while also participating as members of the broader 2027 mentorship cohort.

That combination of one-to-one mentorship and cohort connection creates opportunities to build relationships, exchange ideas, and learn from people across BC’s aviation and aerospace community.
