BCAC- BCIT- CAMC Partner to offer a Quality Assurance Workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to help aviation and aerospace workers understand the importance of auditing and documentation to meet the requirements of Safety Management Systems.

 

CAMC has developed a 2 day test project workshop based on the Quality Systems Auditor Occupational Standard in response to requests from industry concerns regarding the implementation of SMS and the requirement of Quality Assurance (QA) as part of SMS.

 

CAMC has learned through focus group meetings that companies and individual auditors are keen on achieving this certification since it provides evidence of due diligence.

 

CAMC, in partnership with the British Columbia Aviation Council and the British Columbia Institute of Technology will facilitate the following Quality Systems Auditor Occupational Standard implementation workshop:

Wednesday, 19 May – 0900 – 1600

Location: BCIT Campus – 3800 Cessna Drive, Richmond, BC

 

Thursday, 20 May — 0800-1145

Location: BCIT  Campus – 3800 Cessna Drive, Richmond, BC

 

Registration:  $50.00, Includes buffet lunch at BCIT on May 19th

 

While this event is open to any aviation stakeholder, space is limited to 50 and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.

Directly following the Workshop, BC Aviation Councill is having a Spring luncheon with guest speaker, Dave Curtis, CEO of Viking Air.   For Registraton Form.

 

Following the luncheon, BCAC’s Annual General Meeting with networking reception will commence.  AGM — at 1400, Reception at 1500.
