Committees
The British Columbia Aviation Council is supported by various dedicated committees that play a vital role in aviation and aerospace across the country. These committees are comprised of industry professionals, community leaders, and you who work to address key issues, educate, and ensure growth in the sector. Through their collective efforts, these committees help shape the aviation and aerospace industry in BC and throughout Canada.
Apply to a Committee
Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the industry. BCAC welcomes all applications from members of the public who are interested in volunteering their time and expertise to the committees.
Reasons to volunteer
Volunteering with the BCAC offers many benefits, on a professional and personal level. It provides opportunity for you to develop your career in aviation, gain skills, and get recognized. Many benifits from volunteering include networking, contribution of knowledge, and professional development.

Hanger Hangout
Aman Rao
The Hangar Hangout is BCAC’s flagship relationship building event series for all. The Hangar Hangout Committee at BCAC organizes and hosts these at local businesses and organizations. Our goal is to provide a time and place every month for everyone in our industry to build impactful relationships.
Even though we all know how important relationship building is in our industry, due to aviation’s 24/7 nature and geographically wide operations, there is a very real gap in networking opportunities. Our committee is solving that by organizing FREE networking events every month, with a consistent average attendance of 50+. If you’d like to volunteer with us, the work would include reaching out to the local industry that would like to host an event, making and distributing social media posts, and day-of set up and tear down. Come join our extremely enthusiastic team!
