One year on from the Winter Olympics, we can look back with pride at the extraordinary performance of YVR and the other gateway airports which together with NAV CANADA and the supporting government agencies provided travellers with such a trouble-free experience. Going forward, we see our industry growing as the BC economy continues to expand and our challenge will be to provide a trained and skilled workforce to support that growth. We have excellent training institutions but they will need both industry and government support to generate the future workforce. To that end, BCAC will celebrate National Aviation Day by attending graduation ceremonies at BCIT for courses in Aircraft Maintenance, Structures, and Airport Operations.
Best wishes to all who contribute so much to aviation and aerospace in British Columbia!
