As you may be aware, the RCO system is being redesigned, including establishing new frequencies, new RCO sites and some decommissionings. Unfortunately, many pilots are still not aware that the system is under constant change and 126.7 is no longer the frequency of choice to contact a Flight Information Centre (FIC).
It would be most appreciated if you would forward the attached map to your contacts/members. This map reflects the current state of RCOs under the responsibility of the Kamloops FIC (Pacific Radio) and includes a change to the Lytton RCO scheduled for May 5.
In addition, pilots can obtain further information on the RCO redesign project, including an information Brochure and current RCO maps by FIC area, on the NAV CANADA web site (navcanada.ca) under Products and Services / ANS Programs / RCO Redesign or directly at the following link. Notices of upcoming changes are also published on our internet main page.
Thanks,
Rob Bishop
